Why is there an overtime charge on my invoice?
EBR are required to pay overtime rates for casual staff as identified by the relevant Award, Australian Workplace Agreement or Enterprise Bargaining agreement. On many occasions the award or employment conditions that cover your permanent staff may not apply to our casuals. This can sometimes cause a variation on overtime, penalty and allowance provisions. Your Account Manager at EBR will be able to clarify this for you.
Can I put all my contractors on one invoice?
Certainly. Our sophisticated database and payroll system is able to generate multiple invoices, pay summaries and a variety of reports. Please contact your Account Manager to discuss your individual requirements.

What does your rate include?
Our all-inclusive hourly rates cover wages; payroll tax, occupational superannuation, Work cover levy and administration costs. EBR handles group tax and issues PAYG payment summaries. Charges are made only for each hour or part thereof worked by the on-hire employee. There are no charges for meal breaks, sick leave or public holidays. Under the provision of the appropriate Award, EBA or AWA, on-hire employees must be engaged for the appropriate minimum period in any given day. Rates charged are subject to wage indexation adjustments and Award EBA or AWA and statutory variations and can be amended without notice. Where other awards/agreements apply, the provisions of that specific award/agreement will prevail.
What are my responsibilities to the On-Hire worker?
All on-hire employees supplied by EBR are employees of EBR and shall be paid by EBR. Engagement of an on-hire employee shall be deemed to be acceptance of our Terms and Conditions of Business. Time sheets signed by a representative of your company will be deemed to be confirmation of hours worked and shall be used to calculate the wages for our on-hire employees and charges for services rendered.
As a host employer, the on-hire employee shall be under your control and direction from the commencement of duties and for the duration of the assignment.
You are responsible for authorising payment of wages and approving the standard of work carried out on your behalf. Whilst the on-hire employee is under your control and direction, any and all acts, errors or omissions, whether willful or negligent or otherwise, are your responsibility, as a compliance with all statutory requirements relating to their employment.
The host employer will exercise all due diligence in providing details of the nature of work that EBR employees will be required to undertake.
You will do all things reasonably practical to minimise the risk of injury and/or illness to all employees in accordance with the relevant OHS Acts, Regulation’s and codes of Practice as they apply.
The host employer will notify EBR as soon as practicable of incidents or accidents involving EBR employees.
The host employer will notify EBR prior to changing any tasks, including any plant, equipment or process involving any EBR employee.
The host employer will provide EBR employees with appropriate supervision whilst they are on the worksite.
I want to employ my temporary staff member?
Should an EBR on-hire worker enter into any employment like relationship (such as permanent or contract employment, consultancy, sub-contractor, partnership or commission based) by you or any related person or Corporation on either a permanent or contract basis, an introduction fee will be due and payable.
The placement fee will be as per EBR’s terms and conditions, where a percentage is charged of the total gross annual package of the referred candidate. Should you require an EBR on-hire employee to commence any future assignment/s after completion of the current assignment, that on-hire employee will do so as an EBR employee. These conditions apply for a period of twelve months after the last assignment.
