Five lifestyle factors are important in avoiding burnout while managing to stay "fired up", Church says:
- How well you sleep - you should take about 20 minutes to fall asleep at night, and wake up and go to bed at pretty much the same time each day;
- How well you eat - drink at least eight glasses of water a day, eat a balanced mix of protein, carbs and fat and look for unprocessed, natural or organic products where possible;
- How active you are - exercise at least three times a week, and seek out incidental activity where possible (for example taking the stairs instead of the lift);
- The way you think - take responsibility for what happens in your world, be optimistic about your future and think well of yourself; and
- The way you manage stress - ensure your relationships energise you, you are engaged and focused in your life, and you're learning something new every day.
