How do you balance work and family life v2?
The pressures of deadlines and trying to balance work and family life are causing many businesses and employees to suffer pointless stress.
EBR team members are implementing excellent time management on a daily basis, this ensures a smooth running office plus a balanced work and family life.
Suggestions from the EBR team on saving time and balance work and family life;
- Common sense record keeping. Keep only ONE diary, ONE calendar. ONE to do list. Use a small notebook instead of post it notes to avoid clutter.
- When opening emails; read, action and file or delete
- Tell people when you are going to be unavailable so you don't get disturbed. Try turning your email off and your phone on message bank for 1 hour and you will notice the difference. Try and do this at work and at home.
- Ask for help. If you are coming in to work early and leaving work late every day for weeks and weeks, ask a colleague or manager for some assistance or help in managing your tasks more efficiently. If you’re needing a babysitting for an hour, ask your neighbour, mother or friend.
- Learn To Say No. If you’re over-extended, it might be because you’re not practiced at saying no. A reality check could be in order. Constant requests (or expectations from others) can lead to a shortage of hours in the day for you!
