Why Do You Want To Work Here?
In a job interview you can’t be certain of the exact questions your interviewer will ask. However, you can prepare for some pretty common interview questions. Here are some suggestions to help you tackle these questions
- Tell me about yourself
Describe to the interviewer about your professional life and not your personal life. Things to say may include your education, professional work experience or relevant niche qualities and skills related to the job position
- What are your strengths/weaknesses?
Have a look at the job responsibilities to see which core value matches your strengths. When tackling, “what is your weakness”, pin-point your problem, identify the steps you took to overcome this weakness, and explain the positive outcome of overcoming this weakness. A positive outcome can be listed in the job description.
- Why do you want to work here?
Explain how your career goals and this position fits into your plan, express your motivation to perform if hired and describe how the company and/or job appeals to you.
